For The Public TRA offers an Annual Training Conference, with continuing education credits. Both the state and local chapters annually recognize individuals and organizations who have made a special contribution to the rehabilitation community. Additionally, there are varying recognition programs at the NRA and regional levels. TRA is a non-profit organization and is one of the many state chapters of NRA. The National Rehabilitation Association is the oldest advocate for the rights of persons with disabilities and was established not long after Congress passed the National Rehabilitation Act of 1920.
