Come to Corpus Christi for a fun and informative TRA Conference on June 27-29, 2010. The Conference begins Sunday at 2 p.m. and ends Tuesday at 1 p.m. TRA is applying for 12.0 hours (4.5 hours ethics) of Continuing Education Credits for this conference. Conference registration fee includes all training sessions and one ticket for the Sunday Reception. A ticket to the Monday Awards Luncheon will be provided with the first 150 registrations. You are encouraged to visit the Exhibits, bid for the Silent Auction items, and enjoy networking with other rehab professionals.
Come early for a mini-vacation! This is an opportunity to bring your family and enjoy Corpus Christi and the beach before the conference begins. The hotel has complimentary shuttle service to/from the airport, as well as free parking at the hotel for registered guests.

- $225 for NRA/TRA members;
- $225 each for Organization Group Rate (3 or more);

TRA AWARD NOMINATIONS--It's that time of year! Watch for information to make your nomination.
Nominations are being accepted in the following areas:
Promethean Award - presented to a person with a disability who has demonstrated self-motivation and personal courage in overcoming his/her disabiity beyond the assistance provided by any public service or private helping service agency.
Rehabilitation Professional of the Year--Non-Physician - presented to a Rehabilitation Professional who has made an outstanding contribution to one of the following which resulted in more effective services to persons with disabilities: * rehabilitation of persons with disabilities and/or * expansion of medical or rehabilitation programs and services.
Rehabilitation Professional of the Year -Physician -- presented to the physician who has made an outstanding contribution to the rehabilitation of persons with disabilities and/or the physician who has expanded medical or rehabilitation programs or services to persons with disabilities.
Research, Project Demonstration, and/or Special Program - presented to the chief investigator, demonstration project director, or program director who has accomplished outstanding research or innovative program development within the field of rehabilitation.
Employer of the Year for Hiring Persons with Disabilities - presented to an employer who has achieved an outstanding record for employing persons with disabilities.
Legislative - presented to individual(s) who has/have achieved distinction in advocating for issues benefitting persons with disabilities.
Wallace Bennett Excellence in Journalism - presented to one of the following: * the person or institution presenting the best news story/article representing public enlightenment with regard to persons with disabilities, * a journalism student presenting the best article on persons with disabilities, or * a journalism educator or school of journalism developing innovative curricula to prepare students to write about persons with disabilities or issues of disability.
Extra Mile - presented to the TRA member(s) (maximum of two) who has/have made exemplary contributions to the broad field of rehabilitation.
